My Plan App

Problem: Individuals don’t always have their to-do list on them or don’t have it in a user-friendly order.

Solution: Create a planner app keeps tasks organized and can be used for a variety of projects.

Users

User Research

While interviewing participants, I learned that the main desires for the planner app were usability and convenience.

User Problem Statement

Jeremy is a full-time student that needs a clear to-do list because scheduling school work and moving can be chaotic.

Competitive Audit

The overall goal of the app was to make a replacement for a large notebook planner while maintaining the same level of detail, as well as being more accessible than current competitors.

Design

Ideation

The goal of my ideation process was to create a solution that consumers from many different demographics could easily use.

Digital Wireframes

My vision for the homepage was to make it simple enough to not me overwhelming when the customer first opens the app. The hamburger menu was added after peers suggested making the app easier to navigate.

Low-Fidelity Prototype

During this step, I refined the general layout of the wireframe, as well as made the menu and profile buttons stand out more.

What I learned:

Throughout this project, I learned that users appreciate a clear path forward and simple but effective solutions to problems.

Future Steps:

• Add ability to share calendars and tasks with other users

• Add customizable options such as profile pictures, custom colors for upcoming task headers, and custom icons.

• Implement account creation.
